Catholic priest carries assault rifle to church (photos)

A photo of a catholic priest posing with an assault riffle in his church has gone viral on social media.

A Facebook user, Achike Onwuazo, posted the picture on his page. He wrote: "Carry Go my blessed Rev. Father. He who is surrounded by his enemies (Fulani herdsmen & Boko Haram) is always alert."

Some social media users on Facebook and Instagram have expressed positive reactions to the photo, most believe that the priest is doing the right thing to prevent himself and his members, due to the sporadic rate of religious and ethnic crisis going on in the country

They hailed the priest and said he was being wise. They also suggested that carrying guns to places of worship could help reduce insecurity in the country.
