The girl, who cannot be named in order to protect her identity, was celebrating her birthday with her friends when the morality police suddenly disrupted their party.
They roughed her and her friends up before hauling them into a police van, where the girl alleges the police beat her up and pulled her hair.
The police also made them sign a written pledge never to wear ripped jeans again and to always adhere to the Islamic country's dress code.

The girl sustained bruises on her face and hands during the incident and shared pictures confirming them. She said the morality police, who usually remain undercover, even threatened to use pepper spray on them if they refused to cooperate.
The girl's mother added that the police told her that the girls were not her children anymore and should therefore put on clothes that adhere to the accepted dress code.
In Iran, the Islamic dress code is strictly enforced, and women have been arrested even for displaying part of their hair. Men are also prohibited from wearing t-shirts displaying western symbols.
